GEOTECH to Aquire Paillettes et Pigments for special-effect pigments market expansion

GEOTECH has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Paillettes et Pigments Sarl (PEP), a French supplier of special effect pigments. The special effect pigments of PEP are widely adopted in the cosmetic, plastic and coating industry. Their pearlescent pigments and glitter are being used for over two decades in especially color cosmetics, master batches and decorative coatings. PEP is active on the European market with a focus on the cosmetic industry in France. "PEP is well known as a reliable supplier of high quality special effect pigments to the French market and is passionate about the same thing we are, creating innovating color solutions," stated Harold van Haren, Managing Director and owner of GEOTECH. "Joining forces provide a better entrance for GEOTECH into the French market as well as the possibility to gain a larger market share. The cooperation enables PEP to provide an increased level of service and fulfill complex customer requirements (GMP). Furthermore it allows PEP to comply with strict future regulations (REACH). PEP has a similar product portfolio with a large number of highly valued customers. On top of that, PEP and GEOTECH are united by a common passion for color innovation in order to differentiate consumer products." said Harold van Haren.

The PEP sales office in France remains open. PEP customers will immediately benefit of the cooperation by an increased product portfolio. Quality control and logistic services of PEP products will be handled by the GMP certified GEOTECH facility in Haarlem, The Netherlands.
