Braskem Europe BV recently granted Hamburg (Germany) distributor KRAHN CHEMIE GmbH the sales rights for ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA) of the Brazilian holding company Braskem S.A. The agreement follows the successful partnership of the two companies for marketing and distributing of UTEC® UHMW-PE. The EVA products known under the brand name EVATENO® are marketed by KRAHN CHEMIE GmbH in the segments adhesives, cables, shoes and compounds throughout all of Europe, with the exception of Great Britain and Italy, and are available from one central European storage center. Types are currently being offered with a VA content of 19 - 28% and a MFI of 2.5 - 150 g/10min. Higher MFI are currently being developed and shall be introduced midyear.
