Huntsman's plant at Port Neches operating at reduced rates amid ongoing issues

Huntsman's plant in Port Neches, Texas, continues to operate at reduced rates, with a source in Platts adding that the 766,000 m tpa MTBE unit will be a reduced rates for several weeks.
The plant has been running at reduced rates since September 20 due to a utility issue, spokeswoman Anne Knisely said, and that the plant team is working safely and diligently to bring the plant fully back online as soon as possible.
The company initially expected that the issues could be resolved in a matter of days, but that has not been the case, a source with knowledge of company operations said.The unit will be at reduced rates for a couple of weeks," the source said.
