A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been inked between Natural Petrochemicals Pvt Ltd (NPPL) of India and Ashland India Pvt Ltd (AIPL), a fully owned subsidiary of Ohio-based Ashland Inc to allow NPPL start production of polyester resins and gel-coats for Ashland which will be supplied to composites customers in India. Currently, NPPL has manufacturing facility for unsaturated polyester resins, vinyl ester resins, gel-coats and flame retardant resins at its Kandla site. Recently enough, NPPL has completed the construction of its world class facility for meeting the production requirements of Ashland Inc.
The MoU will enable Ashland to rapidly supply to the increasing composites industry in India with a wide array of products. This agreement will leverage the high quality resin production of NPPL and sales and marketing expertise of Ashland.
