Brazilian company Innova is to build two new plants in the in the hub of Triunfo to produce ethylbenzene and styrene. The company's existing site located in the hub of Triunfo, city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, produced 300,000 tons of petrochemicals including polystyrene, styrene and toluene, last year. Innova is controlled by Petrobras, Brazilian state owned oil company.
The new ethylbenzene plant will have the capacity of producing 540,000 tpa and the styrene plant is to have a production capacity of 250,000 tpa and will receive US$ 114.8 million in investments. This plant will be in addition to the existing styrene production unit which has a production capacity of 250,000 tpa.
