The Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) is to investigate Formosa Plastics Group’s Naphtha Cracker No. 6 to find out the contribution and impact to the society made by the cracker. This detailed report will be conducted amid fears of contamination and health concern from local inhabitants and environmental protection groups. The survey covers four perspectives: social, economic, environmental and health, under twenty one subcategories; and positive and negative impacts such as the plant’s contribution, air quality, volatile organic compounds, epidemiology and groundwater contamination.
