Iran's petrochemical industry is operating at 85% run rates- current installed capacity at Iran's petrochemical units totals almost 54.5 mln tpa, while production program is 46 mln tpa. The unused capacities can be attributed almost equally to a shortage of feed, technological failures, defective equipment manufacture and other factors.
