Iran seeks overseas investment in petrochemical industry

Iran's petrochemical industry needs an investment of US$30 bln under the country's 20-year vision plan for economic, social and cultural development. Iran is seeking overseas participation in upstream and downstream projects of the petrochemical industry, either as independent or joint investments with Iranian counterparts. Iran, which is the world's fourth-largest oil producer, is currently exporting an average of 2.4-2.5 mln bpd.
