World number four polyolefin maker Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), has experienced technical failure at one of its' two lines at the Geleen plant located in the Netherlands. This has forced the company to halt polypropylene (PP) production at its Geleen plant. Restart is anticipated around the middle of next month.
Total annual production capacity at the two plants at Geleen is pegged at 600,000 kilo tons.
