Iran sets Assalouyeh-based Jam petrochemical complex underway

Iran has set underway operations at the Assalouyeh-based Jam petrochemical complex - the world's biggest olefin project - which boasts of total ethylene production volume of 1,321,000 tpa, IRNA news agency reported. The opening of the complex is been earmarked as a huge achievement for Iran as 90% of petrochem products will be exported thereby boosting nation's revenue. The project was set open by nation's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Feb 8 which also happened to be 30th anniversary of the Iran's Islamic Revolution.
