Japan's naphtha imports for the petrochemical sector rose 2.3% in December 2010, compared to December 2009. Imports of naphtha for ethylene production totalled to 1,549,841 tons during December, according to data from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Naphtha imports totalled 1,515,401 tons in December 2009 and 1,654,586 tons in November, according to Reuters.
