JG Summit defers delivery of naphtha cargo on delay in cracker start up

03-Jun-14
JG Summit Petrochemical Corp (The Philippines) is deferring delivery dates of a naphtha cargo due to delays in starting up the country's first naphtha cracker, as per traders in Reuters. Delivery dates are being defered to H1-July from H2-June. It was expected to start up its 320,000 tpa cracker around end May. It was unclear what had led to the delays in the start-up of the unit but traders said the cracker at Batangas City will now commence operations some time this week.
