JG Summit Petrochemical Corp is in the process of ramping up cracker run rates after a near two-month shutdown. The only naphtha cracker in Philippines is seeking 30,000 tons of naphtha for H2-September to feed its cracker,as per traders in Reuters. After few rounds of delays, the 320,000 tpa naphtha cracker was commissioned in June, but forced shut due to mechanical issues. The unit restarted over the weekend of Aug. 16-17, the traders said, and will need more naphtha feedstock. It last bought a naphtha cargo for early July arrival at Batangas.
