With effect from July 1, Kazakhstan will remove the customs posts with Russia, and theoretically the prices of petrochemicals should be the same in the Single Economic Space (SES). However, Kazakhstan will continue regulating retail prices of petrochemicals after lifting customs control on its borders with Russia, as per the country's Minister of Oil and Gas.
Certain regulating mechanisms prevalent in the country can keep prices at domestic market, not including the special supplies for the agriculture, 10-13% lower than in Russia.
