Korea Kumho Petrochemical to build acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) compounding plant in China

In a bid to expand its presence in China as well as other markets in the region, Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co. plans to build an ABS compounding plant in China. This will be it’s seventh plant in China, is slated for completion by 2010 and will serve primarily the automotive and electronics sector. Initial capacity at the plant to be located at Foshan, Guangdong province; will be 10,000 tons of ABS compounds in 2010, with plans to upgrade capacity to 50,000 tons by 2015 and 100,000 tons by 2018.
