KRAIBURG's TPE resins employed to manufacture reusable hydration vessel

Three different thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) resins from KRAIBURG TPE had been employed by California-based clean water solutions provider, KOR Water to manufacture the new reusable KOR ONE Hydration Vessel. KRAIBURG worked with the client to devise custom-made TPE solutions for the vessel as the TF3THT compound used in the seal ring ensures no leakage ehen the cap is closed. The cap insert itself, made of the TF8THT compound, represents an ideal hybrid and is rigid enough to keep the container securely closed but at the same time is flexible enough for easy opening. A further compound drawn from the THERMOLAST® K product group and used at the base lends stability since its high coefficient of friction reduces slippage. All the materials used here comply with world-wide health and hygiene standards and can be worked in time-saving injection molding processes. Due to their high degree of transparency, the company claims that they can easily be dyed in any desired color. KOR Water, via these attractive, reusable containers, aims to prompt consumers to rethink their attitudes in regards to environment protection. The goal is to help reduce the volumes of waste to be dealt with. In the USA alone, up to 40 billion non-returnable bottles wind up in the trash each and every year. By raising the aesthetics of this vessel to that of high-end bottled waters, KOR is actively engaging consumers to consider the environmental impact of drinking water from disposable packaging.
