Engineering and construction major Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L and T) has been awarded a Rs368 crore order for supply of three sets of gasification equipment to Datang International Power Generation Company Ltd for its coal based olefin project in Duolun country, Mongolia. L and T manufactured equipments will help produce 1.5 million tpa methanol, which will be subsequently converted into propylene and further into polypropylene, it said.
L and T will complete despatch of equipment, based on process technology of Shell Global Solutions, by September 30, 2007 and depute its engineers and skilled workforce to Duolun to complete assembly of the despatched sections by February 15, 2008.
