Benchmark offers for ABS slid to US$1880-1920/mt CFR Asia in line with a plunge of feedstock values. Despite these low offers, buyers prefer to wait in the sidelines in anticipation of price correction in line with continuously falling feedstock values. Few buyers have expressed an interest about 100 dollars lower.
Repair at Taiwanese GPPC's 90,000 tpa ABS plant that shut down due to an unexpected plant shutdown last week, is to be complete by next week. Thailand's IRPC's 96,000 tpa ABS plant has been shuttered for maintenance for two months.
