Lanxess ABS Ltd. plans to increase its Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) capacity to 80,000 tpa and further ramp it up to 100,000 tons in two years. Current capacity at Lanxess is 60,000 tons. Funding for the expansion is through internal accruals.
Estimated increase in demand for automobiles, consumer durables and electronic appliances is expected to fuel an increase in demand for ABS.
