South Korea's LG Chem Ltd. and Lotte Daesan Petrochemical Corp. have shut their naphtha crackers for the next five to seven days due to brief power outages. The naphtha cracker at LG Chem, has a capacity of 500,000 tpa of ethylene, and Lotte Daesan's naphtha cracker has a 650,000 tpa capacity. This shutdown is likely to affect the market downwards.
