South Korea's Lotte Chem is seeking naphtha for a 12-month period starting October through a tender. This week also saw YNCC in talks to buy naphtha for the same delivery period, as per traders in Reuters. Traders said the current weak market, where supplies are ample due to high volumes of European cargoes coming to Asia, was drawing the South Korean buyers out to tie up term cargoes. Lotte Chemical's tender will close on Aug. 8, with offers to stay valid until Aug. 13.
