Maintenance at CPC No. 4 cracker- Only 2 out of 5 naphtha crackers in operation in Taiwan

CPC Corp. has shut its No. 4 naphtha cracker at Kaohsiung for at least seven days of maintenance work, as per Bloomberg. The cracker has capacity to produce 385,000 tpa of ethylene. CPC’s other 500,000 tpa cracker is operating at about 90% capacity. This leaves only two of five naphtha crackers in operation this week in Taiwan, as two of three crackers of Formosa remain shut.
