Malaysia-based Titan has bought around 25,000 tons of naphtha at discounts of US$8-9/ton to Japan quotes on a cost-and-freight basis. The cargo is scheduled for H1-September delivery to Pasir Gudang, as per Reuters.
This is one of the widest discounts Titan has paid since March 10 this year. A persistent naphtha supply glut is expected to keep the market under severe pressure for the rest of 2016.
