The market for wood plastic composites is developing rapidly in Europe, enabled by a series of developments in production technology as well as improved marketing programmes and yet the European market is still only a fraction of the size of its potential.
AMI’s Wood Plastics Composites 2010 conference will draw on experience across Europe to bring focus on the latest developments in the industry. This is AMI’s 7th Wood Plastics Composites conference and will take place from 20-22 April in Vienna, Austria. This year’s programme has gathered together a panel of international speakers which will cover key issues for the industry, highlight opportunities, new technologies and the role of marketing, market development and branding as key business tools.
The programme will open with a presentation from Ronald Kaplan, CEO of US market leader Trex Company on “Advancements in the WPC decking and railing market in North America”) followed by a presentation from Asian Market expert Takeyasu Kikuchi from WPC corporation (on “New forming technology of WPC and its development and application”). There will also be a market outlook given by AMI expert Jon Nash.
The technology session will include presentations from Cincinnati Extrusion GmbH, M-A-S Maschinen und Anlagenbau Schulz GmbH, Greiner Extrusion GmbH, Strandex Corp and Milacron. Other presentations will cover the latest in material developments with papers from Rettenmaier & Söhne, Dow Corning SA, Elkem Silicon Materials, Dow Chemical, Solvin, Beologic and Eastman Company.
The event also includes a practical demonstration at the Cincinnati Extrusion premises (headline sponsors of the event) where delegates can get hands on experience of the technology and the products. The conference sessions will be simultaneously translated into German and Italian.
