Merquinsa (Spain), a producer of specialty thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), will showcase its eco-friendly and plant-derived thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), PEARLTHANE® ECO range, at NPE 2009 (Chicago, June 22-26, booth #131043). The plant-derived and recyclable plastic, PEARLTHANE® ECO, recently won the Frost & Sullivan 2008 Global Thermoplastic Urethane (TPU) Product Innovation Green Excellence of the Year Award.
A recent preliminary life cycle analysis (LCA) of the biopolymer innovations indicated that manufacturing Pearlthane® ECO TPU range results in 40% less CO2 emissions. Apart from its eco-friendly plastics, Merquinsa will display its full range of TPU specialties used in a wide range of applications. The company provides innovative products for injection molding, extrusion, calendering, melt coating, compounding and adhesive applications.
