Mexico's Pemex mulls petrochemical expansion

Mexico's Pemex plans to expand petrochemical capacity, launching a tender to expand a Gulf of Mexico petrochemical plant and increase ethyl production. The winning bidder, which could be named next week, would start construction of the plant on June 18 and would have 34 months to complete the work. Pemex plans to increase output of ethyl to 900 mln tpa at the plant in Veracruz state, from the current 600 mln tpa.
