Japanese trading firm Mitsui & Co. has shut its Singapore oil unit after losing US$81 million in naphtha trades. The company has reported the results of an internal investigation to Singapore police on Feb. 12 and has also filed a report with the Singapore police and its senior naphtha trader involved in the losses - Noriyuki Yamazaki, is being questioned. The trader involved had been arrested earlier and released on Wednesday.
