Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic), with polypropylene (PP) plants in Holland and Germany, is considering Teesside as one of two preferred locations for its third European PP plant. Sabic is considering the PP plant in Teesside at an investment outlay of 200 mln.
Sabic has recently paid US$440 mln for the base chemicals portion of Huntsman's business.
