Mondi Coatings, part of European packaging group Mondi, has recently inaugurated its forth state-of-the-art extrusion coating line at Mondi Coating Št?tí, Czech Republic investing over EUR 7 mln in the project. The new production line and 5,000 m2 production hall will bolster Mondi's extrusion coating capabilities for sophisticated core products in the barrier coated- and laminated materials segment.
The expansion expenditure project enables Mondi Coating to further improve its customer service and to reinforce its position as leading full range supplier of mill wrappers, case linings, technical products, consumer products and special barrier materials for bags. The newly established capacity provides customers with an attractive supply source for printed reel wrapping and folio wrapping as well as for protective end discs. On top, the co-extrusion unit on this line opens the door to new solutions for selected consumer coatings and aluminium and scrim combinations for technical coatings.
