Nova Chemicals has announced commercial availability of ULTRA LOW* EPS resin for construction applications and packaging products. With average pentane levels of 3.75% by weight, ULTRA LOW M77BLV offers emissions-constrained molders the ability to meet or exceed ASTM construction and geofoam industry standards for molding density and physical performance.
This 4%, enabling business growth for EPS molders who are constrained by increasingly rigorous emissions standards. Potential applications for ULTRA LOW M77BLV include geofoam, roofing, insulation and structural insulated panels (SIPs). Demand for high-performing ULTRA LOW resins is anticipated to grow as converters work with evolving emissions standards. NOVA Chemicals anticipates further additions to the ULTRA LOW product line in the near future.
