German plastic processing machinery maker KraussMaffei has posted highly positive sales figures even in turbulent times at the recently concluded NPE 2009 plastics exhibition in Chicago, the company said in a release. At the NPE, KraussMaffei recorded sales orders worth US$ 6.5 mln, an increase of over 60% compared with the NPE2006. "From our point of view and considering the current crisis state of our industry, the NPE 2009 was very successful," said Paul Caprio, President of KraussMaffei Corporation with overall responsibility for the US activities of all three KraussMaffei divisions - Injection Moulding Machinery, Extrusion and Reaction Process Machinery.
The company showcased products from all three technology divisions including some striking multi-technology applications. KraussMaffei serves customers from sectors as diverse as medical technology, packaging, automotive and construction materials.
