Nuplex Industries has entered into an agreement to acquire Acquos’ Masterbatch business, one of Australia’s leading providers of concentrated pigments and additives (known as 'masterbatch') to the plastics industry. The transaction is subject to ACCC approval. If approved, Nuplex expects the transaction to make a positive contribution to its 2012 financial year, earnings per share. Nuplex will make a further announcement once the ACCC has made its decision.

Acquos’s Masterbatch business has an extensive technical portfolio and global best-practice processes, which if acquired would complement our existing operations in this market.
