Demand for electronics, telecommunications and healthcare products are is growing at a robust pace in China. The Guangzhou area is meeting customer demand for plastics-based contract manufacturing for these sectors.
With this in view, Nypro is building a second factory in Guangzhou, China, at an investment of over E3.7m, with 60 fully robotised injection moulding machines ranging in size from 50 to 450 tons clamping force. The plant will manufacture precision injection mouldings on a contract basis, with facilities for in-mould decorating and labelling, bi-component moulding, and insert or over-moulding.
Nypro currently operates 9 other plants in China, and is also investing in a new chain-on-edge painting line, to be installed alongside two existing robotic painting lines.
