Oil dips below US$100 per barrel for the first time in 14 months

Weighed by concerns of slowing economic growth, Brent crude dipped below US$100 a barrel for the first time in 14 months. OPEC members seemed unconcerned by a slide in oil prices below the US$100 mark. Top OPEC exporter Saudi Arabia favors oil at US$100, which many others in the 12-member group also support. OPEC officials opined that winter demand in coming weeks should support the market, as per Reuters.
