Oil prices mixed amid holiday in US financial markets

New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in March inched up to US$95.6 a barrel, while Brent North Sea crude for delivery in April dipped to US$117.4. Oil prices were mixed in Asia on weaker oil production and exports from Saudi Arabia, and as financial markets remained closed in the United States on Monday for a public holiday. Over the longer term, prices are likely to be supported by expectations of improving global growth and continuing tensions in the Middle East.
