Global oil prices have peaked to two-week highs, as the market was optimistic by forecasts of stronger crude demand. New York's main contract, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for delivery in March, rose to US$96.7 a barrel, the highest since the start of 2014, while Brent North Sea crude for March rose by over a dollar to US$107.7 a barrel.
