India's ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd. is to make a decision on whether to shut its aromatics plant amid a water shortage in the area, as per sources reported by Platts.
The plant continues to operate at 70-80% of capacity as of late Tuesday morning, running at the same rate as late last month. The aromatics plant has a nameplate capacity of 900,000 mt/year of paraxylene and 300,000 mt/year of benzene.
