Operations halted at Petronas Chemicals’ aromatic plant

Malaysia's Petronas Chemicals has halted operations at an aromatic plant after a fire broke out at its naptha hydrotreater unit, as per Reuters. The fire occurred late Friday night at its petrochemical complex at Terengganu. Operation at other facilities within the Complex is not affected. An investigation was underway to determine the cause of the fire and to assess the extent of the damage.
