Orenburggazprom with Sibur-Holding, plans to build polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) plants in Orenburg. The PP plant will have a 450,000 tpa capacity and will be constructed first, with startup scheduled for 2012. Polyethylene plant is to have capacity to produce 650,000 tons and will be put into operation in 2016.
The estimated cost of each project is RUR22 billion and implementation period per project is 4 years.
With this investment, Orenburggazprom will create a vertically integrated company right from gas extraction to finished product.
