Size reduction technology specialist Pallmann Group plans to provide improved advice and service for its rapidly growing customer base in Spain and Portugal with the establishment of its first subsidiary in the region.
The new subsidiary, in Manresa, near Barcelona, is headed by Spanish-born engineer Carlos Gómez. He has been looking after Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking customers for several years from Pallmann's headquarters in Zweibrücken, Germany, and has already completed numerous successful projects in various sectors in the region. Gómez was also been instrumental in the development of new equipment for tyre recycling that was made ready for the market together with a Spanish company. Gómez and his employees are now looking to expand this broad base in strategic areas. "With our new branch office close to customers, we now have an increased opportunity to be active in this important market,” says Gómez. “In particular, we are going to enhance our services – which does not mean the spare parts business, but rather the introduction of know-how, the development of individual size reduction solutions with our customers and potential customers.” He says this applies to Pallmann’s four major end-user sectors: plastics, wood, recycling and process industries. In addition, Pallmann’s long-established Spanish distribution partners and representatives will work alongside the new subsidiary to look after their customers.
