Distributors in Indonesia report that a domestic producer has announced offers this week with additional decreases on their offers, prompting distributors to implement similar price decreases on their offers, as per Chemorbis. According to distributors, one producer in Indonesia has reduced offers for HDPE and LLDPE film by an additional US$50/ton this week, although other producers in the country have yet to make any changes on their prices. A converter in the packaging sector who received these reduced offers complained that demand for end products remains poor, so they plan to delay their next purchases for at least one more week. Following this latest price reduction, offers for domestic material stand at US$1325-1370/ton for HDPE film and at US$1415-1460/ton for LLDPE film, FD Indonesia, cash equivalent basis. This represents declines of US$10-15/ton for HDPE film and US$10-30/ton for LLDPE film when compared to the domestic offer range reported last week.
