PetroChina Co. (PTR) has launched its expanded ethylene facility in northwestern China, making it the largest petrochemical producer in western China. An estimated CNY7 billion (US$890 million) has been invested in expanding the facility's ethylene production capacity to 700,000 tpa from 240,000 tons.
