Indonesia Polyprima has delayed its planned turnaround and debottlenecking of its 420,000 mta PTA plant to June. The 4 week shutdown originally scheduled for late May or early June, was delayed to the late arrival of a crucial equipment for a planned capacity expansion. With the completion of the debottlenecking project, Polyprima's nameplate capacity will be boosted by 50,000-60,000 mta to about 480,000 mta.
The company will undertake both major maintenance and debottlenecking at its complex in Anyer. Polyprima's current feedstock requirements are 23,000 mt of paraxylene per month, while it exports 180,000 mta of PTA.
