Prachai files another petition against TPI’s rehab plan

23-Jan-06
The founder of Thai Petrochemical Industry, Prachai Leophairatana, has filed a petition against the company's request to exit its business rehabilitation plan, as he believes that the current restructuring plan is prejudiced against existing shareholders. Prachai still holds more than 10% of the shares of TPI. He has petitioned the Central Bankruptcy Court to continue the rehabilitation process of TPI and has requested that the court place the TPI rehabilitation process on hold until the Supreme Court has ruled on his requests involving the case. The ruling is scheduled in early February.
