Propylene pipeline linking petrochem production sites started in Ruhr area

A new 60 km propylene pipeline connecting petrochemical production sites in the German Ruhr area has been started up. The pipeline commences in Duisburg and has been build at an investment outlay of €60 mln. Operations will be managed by the pipeline consortium PRG Propylenpipeline Ruhr. It will pump C3 from Benelux refineries to German industrial users, including Oxea, Sasol, Westgas and Sabic. These four companies have financed the construction with €40 mln, and the state government has funded the project with €20 mln.
