Two people were hurt, one critically, during a vehicle fire at Braskem America’s propylene truck unloading area, as per Delcotimes.com. The incident at the plant occurred as a contractor was unloading propylene from a truck. A second, nearly empty truck, was parked close by with hits engine idling. The truck that was unloading released a short burst of highly flammable propylene for a few seconds, causing the engine of the other truck to catch fire, Braskem officials said. Two people, both truck drivers who are not Braskem employees, were injured and transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center. One was treated and released, the other was admitted to the burn unit in critical but stable condition. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
