PT Chandra Asri to embark on feasibility study for integrated petrochemical complex in Cilegon

PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) announces the company is going to start a feasibility study for its construction and operation plan of integrated petrochemical complex in Cilegon, Banten province, as per Netralnews.com.

Suryandi, Director of TPIA in a written statement, explained the project site with an investment of billions of dollars will be adjacent to the complex which has been held previously in Cilegon. "The new complex will consist of ethylene cracker with capacity of one million tons per year and various downstream derivatives, sharing with existing supporting facilities," he said.
Chandra Asri will establish a new company to run the second petrochemical complex and discuss with the authorities concerning fiscal incentives to accelerate the project. The shareholding structure of the new business is not yet completed and discussion with various players in the industry is still ongoing.
