Q1 profits at Braskem SA, Latin America's largest petrochemical company dipped by 35% from year ago levels on rising production and feedstock costs. Overall production costs rose 10% to 3.76 billion reais.
Net income dropped to 83 mln reais (US$50 mln), from 127 mln reais, a year earlier, Net sales fell 0.3% to 4.41 billion reais.
