Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) has signed an Ethylene Sales Contract with Sumitomo Corporation of Asia (SCA) at an estimated value of US$23.4 mln. As per the contract QAPCO is to supply 36,000 tons of ethylene until the end of 2009. QAPCO is a joint venture between Industries Qatar and Total Petrochemical Company of France. Sumitomo Corporation (SC) is Japanese general trading & Investment Company, with 14 operation basis in 66 countries including Japan, Singapore, UAE and Qatar.
