Quattor to account for 40% of PE and PP production in Brazil

Quattor - Brazil's youngest petrochemicals joint venture project has been planned to have installed capacity of 2.8 mln tpa of basic and intermediary petrochemical products and 1.9 mln tpa of resins. Quattor, to come onstream by year-end is a merger of petrochemicals groups Riopol, Suzano Petroquímica, Petroquímica União, Unipar and Polietilenos União. Brazilian petrochemicals company Unipar holds a 60% stake, and federal energy group Petrobras holds the balance. Quattor accounts for 40% of the polyethylene and polypropylene production in Brazil.
